Another Don't for Office Party Etiquette
Well, went too a couple office parties this year and its clear that some did not read my last post.
Besides a few people breaking the 3 Don'ts below, I was reminded of another that wasn't on the list.
Don't take your pants off at the party, no matter how good an idea it seems at the time!

Office Parties
When you go to an office party, you might want to consider that you should be on your best behaviour as you have all of next year to deal with your co-workers. The last thing you want is to be the center of conversation about who did what at the Christmas office party.
You could easily follow some generic crap for office party etiquette, but we know what you're after...
Essentials;
Make an appearance. Even if only for an hour.
Appear to enjoy yourself. Alcohol helps.
Act professional, but be social. Alcohol helps again.
What to Wear;
Unless told its a black tie event, go with something close to business casual.
Who to Talk To;
Use this as an opportunity to chat with people you don't normally work with. The guys in shipping, the girls in payroll, or possibly your superiors. To save yourself, you can get a cell phone application like Fake Call and set it for 5 minutes just before striking up a conversation. That way, if you're dying a slow death, your saved by the bell each time.
A quick check list of Don'ts...
Don't Get Drunk
Don't Dress Like a Whore
Don't Stay Too Long
And remember, try to have fun!
